Mytilene (Μυτιλήνη in greek, also known as Mytilini) is the capital of the island of Lesvos. It is the third bigger island of the Aegean Sea and also the capital of the North Aegean Region.
Mytilene is the island's port. Farmlands surround Mytilene, the mountains cover the west and to the north. The airport is located a few kilometres south of town.
